on the right: ryan, at his normal desk, on his normal computer, racing N4 like he normally does
on the left: me, using my Inspiron Mini 10 netbook, which i happened to have N4 installed on, on top of a shoe box, on top of a small piece of plywood, which is on top of a tv tray in order to extend the surface area, held down in place by ryan's old momo. i'm sitting in a cold, steel folding chair, holding the wobbly tray steady with my knees while working the pedals, which are pushed against the wall to prevent them from sliding around.
i had no intention of running the DRL race earlier tonight...... but we were here at ryans house... i have my netbook with me... i have N4 installed on it for no reason in particular, I've never actually used it... and right at 7 when mike opened the server for practice, we came to the realization that ryan had a spare momo sitting in the closet. DO IT UP.
this was by far the most uncomfortable i have ever been while racing. no question.
