Qualifying Results
Johnny Reed Foley maintains his points lead after his 11th-straight top-20 finish. Matthew Dominique, Craig Lee and Rick Jackson are deadlocked for the second position just 40 points behind, looking to earn the five bonus points per position entering the chase. Four races remain, beginning with Michigan and followed by a duel road course stretch in the Northeast. Alex Crapser and Zach Michael hope to stand strong after a blistering summer stretch, searching for reprieve at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. Drivers like Bill Werkheiser and Dave Miller will have to earn the most at the high-horsepower facility this week to make-up for their shortcomings at the right-handed corners. Miller won this race last season on excellent tire strategy. He will start 15th two rows behind Bill. Ryan Heuser continues his hot-streak with his third pole of the season, with the hopefully resurging Ken Pettit on the outside row at one of his favorite racetracks. Ken has finished exactly 41st five times this season. Perhaps a victory today will lighten his spirits.

Former World of Open Wheel Sprint Car Series Champion and current Indy Car driver Seb Alexander will drive the #78 Nesfeder Racing car while Alan recuperates at his home. Seb has ran two events in the Extravaganza Series ranks, impressing the faithful by finishing 22nd in Nashville Superspeedway Heat #1 this season and qualifying his way into the last-chance race. He would place 38th, defeating many Bonanza Series regulars and finishing better than he qualified in both events. This is his chance to bring his Open Wheel sponsorship to the top broadcast networks and prove his worth in the top series in all of American auto racing. Good luck to Seb!
