Qualifying Race #4 Results

Champions Rick Jackson, Scott Jackson, Tony Pizzaro and Dave Miller remain out of the limelight! 19 drivers are in, with Chauncey Redmond Jr. and Mark Heron on the front row for the final heat race. Can they upset the field? With Rick Jackson and Dave Miller on their heels at the start, it may be next to impossible. Tony Pizzaro, Scott Jackson and the entire Quantum Racing brigade will be mired towards the rear, having to slice through the field like Arthur Spooner slices a Domino's pizza pie.

The winner of this heat advances the All-Star Main Event! The remaining field will be rendered to RV's and motor-coaches while their wives serve them a luncheon of the Gods. "My spouse made a Margherita pizza for my victory." said Matthew Dominique. "If we lose, she said she would feed it to the All-Star winner, because he'd be a real man." The green flag waves with Chauncey Redmond at the helm. Before long, Rick Jackson and Dave Miller flew past Mark Heron for second and third, ready to pounce with 30-to-go.

Rick Jackson makes his move! A bonzai pass on the outside puts the #44 Crown Royal Chevrolet up front. He and Dave Miller would pull way from the pack, brawling for the final transfer spot amongst themselves as the remaining field fails to keep pace. Miller makes a bid on the inside with 11-to-go. It was not to be, with Jackson's high-groove setup able to find speed off the corners. Miller attempted the same move three laps later to no avail.

Donald Stewart blows on the backstretch with 2-to-go! Jackson slips in his oil, leaving Miller the inside groove coming to the caution. Jackson would hold him off for a final time, exiting turn-3 with the brute force of the Hulk, and the speed of a stallion. The #44 Race-2-Win team entered the All-Star Qualifiers without a top-9 in their last eleven events. Now, they are in the big show; back in Extravaganza vogue!
