John Battista Wins First Career NASCAR Racing 4 Race!
There
were three fun-filled events during week 8 of the M*A*S*H* Shootout
Series. The first event consisted of a handful of drivers racing hard
but clean, surviving a 4-wide attack heading into turn 3 in the final
laps. Ryan Heuser, Craig Lee and Ken Pettit raced to the checkered flag
with the QSM duo finishing 1-2, Heuser crossing the line first. After
the race, the field flew over Lake Michigan for the career-stat event at
the Milwaukee Mile. Ryan Heuser led the field for a good portion of the
race, but to prove that anything can happen Ryan gets loose coming off
of 4 and gets tagged by a brake-less Pizzaro and they both go for a
spin. John Battista, who qualified 2nd in the event, flies by the two
wrecked cars and attempts to hold off Johnny Reed Foley for his first
career N4 win. John pulls it off and grabs the victory in his 90th N4
start. After a cool day at Milwaukee, the field heads towards Las Vegas
for the final event of the night. In temperatures reaching 100 degrees,
the drivers removed their tape and the action began! The race for second
proved to be the highlight of the race, with Craig Lee, Ryan Heuser,
Tim McDonnell and John Battista fighting for the spot. The QSM duo would
remain the two top-dogs in the battle, this time with Craig leading the
way up front!
