Matthew Dominique wins the pole! He, Ryan Heuser and Rick Jackson eclipsed the 213 mile-per-hour barrier, deeming themselves the "grand wizards" of Superspeedway time trials. This breaks the record of 14 different pole-sitters before the halfway mark, with Heuser and Dave Miller currently with two. The biggest challenge will be for John Tharp, Zakk Miller and Craig Lee; each eclipsing 5,000 laps completed last week at Nashville. A early-race shunt could set them back in that category, with Lee in danger of losing his top-10 status. They will all be lucky to defeat Lucas Racing's superior restrictor plate package! Look for Steven Spock to dominate the booth, hoping to eclipse "Pinecone Council" as the top-rated show on the channel.
