Johnny Reed Foley is on the prowl! His second-straight Extravaganza Series title looms in the midst, hoping to buy a uranium-plated guitar with his earnings. Zach Michael, Timothy McDonnell, Tony Pizzaro and Rick Jackson hope to ransack his chances; each with a love-hate relationship with the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Zach Michael won here in the spring, hoping to duplicate his success by eliminating the Coca-Cola #20's 48-point disadvantage.

Race Recap

Logan Sheets earns his third pole of 2025, joining the class with Zakk Miller, points leader Johnny Reed Foley and Ryan Heuser! He would navigate the first three laps in style, getting passed by Markell Murphy before stealing the lead back on lap-6. Logan, Markell and Tony Pizzaro fought mercilessly for the top-spot as the remaining 42-cars stood in a three-wide promenade directly behind. The Fenway Frank #12 would prevail, setting the pace for the remainder of the green flag stint.

The NOS-Energy brigade of Ryan Heuser and Craig Lee came out with the lead after pit stops, with Tony Pizzaro and Markell Murphy straggling to a four-second advantage over the rest of the field. Lee took the advantage on lap-87, lapping Trae Larkin, Scott Jackson and Mark Heron in the process. Pizzaro acquired the top-spot five laps later, re-handing the lead to the NOS-energy brigade before lap-100.

Heuser and Lee swapped the lead for the remainder of the stint. No accidents so far, with a blown piston by Dalton Lucas as the only fatality. Tony Pizzaro's engine would eventually decimate, dropping from 97-points back to 155 after a devastating 45th-place finish. Up front, Heuser and Markell Murphy pulled away from the field, lapping points leader Foley after a morbid pit stop for the AC-Delco crew. David Butterworth, Donald Stewart, Rod Weston and Kevin Corbat also fell to the leaders.

Markell Murphy's Red Bull #47 found itself atop the heap after a short-pit strategy of the Gods! The rest of the pack caught up, with Adam Crapser taking the top-spot on lap-209. He'd be passed by the fresher tires of Ryan Heuser just a few laps later, with John Battista's #39 Wendy's Chevrolet taking second. The two raced side-by-side to the line as the caution flag finally flew. Part of a header was close to the backstretch groove, stopping the field with 34 cars still on the lead lap. Points leader Foley was not among them.

Devastation after the restart! Cristian Torres and Ziggy Moonglow tangle in turn-2, clipping Dave Miller and Craig Lee as all four devastate the outside barrier. Moonglow's #02 skidded into the path of Alan Nesfeder, slapping Matt Raboin and John Tharp as the rest of the field spun in attempt to avoid the calamity. Ken Joynt and Jimmie Stevens pound-caked the inside wall, knocking Stevens unconscious. Timothy McDonnell, Dan Johnston and Rick Jackson pile-drove each other in attempt to avoid the crash through the middle. Steven Spears, Tony Gunk and Jonathan Skrabacz attempted the same strategy, each receiving front-end damage from contact. In all, five drivers would fail to continue, including title-contender Rick Jackson. He'd drop from 135 to 195-points behind the lead with two races left, finishing 44th in a devastating day for Race-2-Win Motorsports.

John Battista gets tagged! A stop for extra fuel turns into horror and dismay, dropping from the top-3 to mid-pack. He had to check up off turn-2, getting tagged by teammate Adam Crapser, and sliding hard into the inside wall. He'd finish 39th. Up front, Ryan Heuser, Zach Michael and Chauncey Redmond Jr. battled maniacally for the lead. On lap-236, the points leader blew! Johnny Reed Foley was racing the leaders, decimating his camshaft as Chauncey Redmond slid in the oil, barely avoiding the outside wall. Foley would finish 38th, dropping from 48-points ahead to 42-points behind Zach Michael with two races remaining.

Alex Crapser took the top-spot from Zach Michael with 85-to-go! He, Zach and Zakk Miller would traverse the lead through the next caution flag on lap-262. Alan Nesfeder and Adam Crapser tangled on the frontstretch, sending both for a slide up the outside wall and out of harms way. The final pit stops commensed! A miracle four-tire change for Bink Lucas and Dakota Wilkins put the two on top, hoping to earn their second victory of 2025 in a 60-lap shootout to the finish.

Alex Crapser makes his bid for the lead with 50-to-go! He'd take the spot from Bink, with Molemar Diggs diving to the inside of both. Entering turn-one, Crapser gets tagged by the lapped car of Trae Larkin, clipping Zakk Miller and Craig Lee. Lee, Miller, Crapser and John Tharp devastate the outside wall, with Lee sliding bottom-first against the catchfence for a good 1,000 feet. He'd drift across the racetrack before flipping three times, landing right-side up against the turn-3 apron. Lee's Championship hopes were defeated, dropping 247-points behind Zach Michael with two races left. Miraculously, Alex Crapser would limp to 18th. Miller and Tharp also went to the garage.

Molemar Diggs, Zach Michael, Geno Sphere, Logan Sheets, Dakota Wilkins, Mike Carroll, Ben Geer, Matthew Dominique, Donald Stewart and Ryan Heuser rounded out the top-10 for the lap-283 restart. Diggs was narrowly challenged, watching the second-position fall from Michael, to Dominique, to Adam Crapser. Ryan Heuser pilgrimaged to the second-spot with five laps to-go, miraculously pulling to the rear of the #41 Steelers Chevrolet on the white-flag lap. Heuser made his move entering turn-1; side-by-side on the backstretch before Heuser hit the turn-3 grip-strip on the bottom lane. Ryan Heuser steals the Dunacell 500 in immaculate style, earning his 7th victory of 2025 and 91st of his career in a last-lap extravaganza!

Ryan Heuser pulls off the impossible! Three DNF's in the Chase but still in the Championship hunt, only 123-points behind leader Zach Michael. Amazingly, his 108 laps led are a season-high, hoping to clinch the 1,000 mark by dominating the final two events. It will be his only chance at a fifth Extravaganza Series Championship. Congratulations to Ryan, crew chief Mustard Mahoney and the entire Quick-Silver Motorsports brigade for an excellent victory!
