Big Bud Shootout Results

The offseason is over. The best-of-the-best 2020 qualifiers have entered the fray to see who has the speed to crown themselves the 2021 Big Bud Shootout Champion. 

Quick-Silver Motorsports and Race-2-Win Motorsports run in the top-4 for the entire first half of the 50 lap event. Ryan Heuser won the pole and dropped a couple spots, only to reclaim the lead on lap 4. Him and Rick Jackson would swap the lead several times during the first 41 laps. On lap 42, Johnny Reed Foley made a three-wide move on the bottom to take his first lead of the night.

When Heuser and Jackson were shuffled from the front, the entre field bunched into a three-wide chaos. Battling for fourth, Adam Crapser and Ben Geer made contact, tagging William Perry and sending the #4 and #85 onto the turn-3 apron. Perry flew across the track and into Matthew Domiinique. Ryan Heuser and Mark Murphy also wrecked in the aftermath.

It was a one-lap shootout to the finish. Tony Pizzaro was up front, as Johnny Reed Foley dove to the inside on the restart with draft help from Ben Geer. It would be them vs. Race-2-Win for the victory, as they remain side-by-side heading into turn-3.

Foley was able to clear the #12 coming off of turn-4, blocking both lanes and letting Ben go for the victory on the inside. Crossing the line, Foley easily beat the #29 and scored the first win of the 2021 season. Congrats to Foley, crew chief Ronnie Presley, and the entire Shake N' Bake Racing crew for an excellent victory!
