Adam Crapser celebrates his Chase birth with a trip to the cinema! He and crew stayed up all morning, waiting for a movie called "Closed". By 8 AM they realized that the movie theatre is closed. The #4 Green Bay Packers crew prepared for qualifying later that afternoon, with a comatose driver at the wheel putting up the eighth best time. Brother Alex earned provisional-pole before Matt Raboin stole the show! The #87 Valvoline put up a 27.819, earning his first pole-position since Martinsville in 2023.

Race Recap

Markell Murphy enjoyed a crab rangoon meal before the race. By lap-2, he was ready for the porta-john! Crew chief "Two-Can" Sam Elliott coaches his driver through the catastrophe, telling his driver to "hold it in" and "pretend your not sick". Murphy wouldn't have it! The dashboard was filled with regurgitation by the first pit stop, dropping to 39th after cleaning the gauges.

Matt Raboin dominates the first stint, holding off several charges from Alex Crapser before Ryan Heuser took the helm on lap-15. A debris caution on lap-27 puts Mark Heron at the helm after a two-tire stop, leading his first race since their miracle run at Bristol. He'd stay afloat after the restart before Chauncey Redmond Jr. took the helm. By lap-50, he'd pull to a five-second advantage, hoping to become the second driver in 2025 with three trips to victory lane!

Three-wide action prevailed throughout the race! Alex Crapser, Adam Crapser and John Battista suffered through a mid-pack excursion, watching the rest of the field pull away as teammate Dalton Lucas glides inside the top-10 after a two-tire stop. Ryan Heuser leads the four-tire brigade, crawling to the 15th position by lap-70. Up front, Jeremy Hebel, Rick Jackson and Ben Geer close in on leader Chauncey Redmond Jr.

The #64 New England Patriots Chevrolet laps the title contenders! Chauncey blows by Alex Crapser on lap-100, regretting his four-tire strategy. He passes Craig Lee on lap-112. Adam Crapser, still tired from his movie-theatre excursion on Friday, goes down on lap-118. Champions Timothy McDonnell and Tony Pizzaro fall to the wayside on lap-123, handing the "new guard" their due as Chauncey makes the veterans look elderly and even dead!

While most of the veterans lay in their coffin, Rick Jackson starts to catch the #64! He'd pull to within a second by lap-160, only to endure a broken jack on his green flag stop. By the halfway lap, Chauncey was ahead by eight seconds, with Rick holding off his cousin Scott for third. A miracle run for the #70 ATEUP team, arguably Scott's best run of the year at a track he's dominated in the past. Bink Lucas dropped debris on lap-195, bringing out the second yellow flag.

25-cars remained on the lead lap! Alex Crapser, Timothy McDonnell, Adam Crapser, Matt Raboin and Tony Pizzaro were trapped, leaving Rick Jackson, Johnny Reed Foley, Craig Lee, Ryan Heuser and Zach Michael in contention for a huge points-advantage after the first week. Up front, Rick Jackson finally made it by Chauncey Redmond Jr. for the lead! Johnny Reed Foley, Ben Geer and John Tharp also flew by Redmond, apparently cracking a cylinder under the yellow. By lap-270, the engine blew. 169 laps led was the best performance of Redmond's career, falling to the wayside while joining John Battista, Ken Pettit, Bink Lucas and Mike Carroll in the garage.
