Three top-tier drivers remain winless during their 2025 Extravaganza campaign! Timothy McDonnell and Tony Pizzaro battle maniacally for a Championship title despite the handicap, earning 21 top-5's combined without a victory. With John Battista added, it's a Whiplash-Whopping 29. Second-place finishes at Pocono, Sonoma, Richmond and Bristol, combined with a myriad of final lap troubles put the Wendy's #39 Lucas Racing Chevrolet out of the running on several occasions. He ran out of gas at Darlington, handing Molemar Diggs his first career win. He was tag-teammed on the last lap at Talladega, and blew up while leading in the Spring! The team tried hiring a necromancer to extinguish the demonic taint from their campaign, earning five top-5 finishes in their last seven races. Still, it's a far cry from their seven victories in 2023. Timothy McDonnell hasn't won since Lime Rock Park in 2023, spraying his Country Time into the Connecticuit summer mist. Little did he know it might be his last. Tony Pizzaro dominated the Budweiser at the Glen in 2024, hoping to re-capture his Fenway Frank swag 42 races later.
