Despite their "Team of the Year" status in 2019, several cracks showed in the engine department all season long. The leas affected was Craig Lee, who looks to improve on his fourth place points finish after hard luck at Talladega and Kansas took him out of contention during the finals stages of the season. Teammate and three-time Champion Ryan Heuser hopes to bounce back to Championship form, looking to have another 1000-lap led season, this time without the DNF's. Legendary chief engine builder "HP" Squire Boggs had his worst season to date since his days with the late Harrison James, but is poised for a rebound with four potential winners this season.
Dave Miller and the #90 team had their highest win-total last season with four. He looks to capitalize on his new-found success with a chase-birth this year. On the other side of the spectrum, Dan Johnston didn't win at all. His 19th place points finish puts his QSM future in jeopardy during a contract year in 2020.
