Race Recap

Craig Lee got lost in the lawn after buying his new zero-turn John Deere tractor last week. "It was a gift from Ryan." said Lee "It has everything but a GPS system. Hopefully he'll buy me a compass!" Maybe Craig will have less trouble navigating the Michigan International Speedway. By lap-three he passed pole-sitter Markell Murphy for the lead, keeping the pace before the first caution flag.

A lap-5 holocaust towards the rear! Dakota Wilkins, Rob Scarberry, Trae Larkin, Ben Geer and Molemar Diggs go for a spin, collecting damage end rendering their cars uncompetitive for the rest of the day. Fourth in points Johnny Reed Foley blew a piston on the start, failing to take the green flag and finishing 46th; the worse effort of his Extravaganza career. Up front, Alex Crapser leads the field after staying out.

Alex Crapser, Adam Crapser, Matt Raboin, Matthew Dominique and Craig Lee dominated the remaining stint, pulling away front the field with help from Steve Inkman holding up the Team Danger Zone trio while battling for sixth. Craig Lee's #101 NOS Energy Quick-Silver Motorsports Chevrolet nearly led the entire distance prior to the halfway mark, leaving only Dominique and Adam Crapser in his wake.

Dave Miller blows a tire! A right-rear issue off turn-2 sends the #90 Marlboro Chevrolet into the barrier, sliding back towards the racing groove. He clips Jeremy Hebel; both smacking the outside wall before Ziggy Moonglow careens Miller and flips towards the apron in turn-3. Ken Joynt, Molemar Diggs and Alex Crapser, who just short-pitted after a top-5 effort, fell victim to the ensuing mayhem. All would fail to continue.

Alex Crapser drops to 7th in points, getting passed by Craig Lee while Dave Miller plummets to 17th. What a horrible blow! Up front, Lee continues his advantage after pit stops, nabbing the Halfway Bacon Bonus with Matthew Dominique, John Battista, Zach Michael and Donald Stewart in tow. 35 cars survived their lead lap status by lap-100, keeping the field tight in hopes for a competitive second-half showdown.

John Battista blows a tire entering turn-3! The second right-rear obliteration of the race sends the #39 Wendy's Lucas Racing Chevrolet in a cavalcade of sparks, igniting the field as they french fry their way through the smoke and flames. Donald Stewart gets clipped, sending both cars into the outside wall. Then, disaster struck. Zakk Miller devastates the rear of the Wendy's machine, clipping Geno Sphere and Dan Johnston in the aftermath. All five cars would fail to continue, with Battista and Miller dropping to 13th and 14th in points.

Craig Lee and Zach Michael pull away during the following stint, with Mark Heron, Cristian Torres, Logan Sheets, Trae Larkin, John Tharp, Tony Gunk, Steve Inkman and Matt Raboin inside the top-10. Battling for 11th, contact between Tony Gunk and Dakota Wilkins sends one-third of the field for a spin, with Ryan Heuser, Rob Scarberry. Markell Murphy, Doug Spark, Chauncey Redmond Jr., Matthew Dom
