The pastoral New England hillside enhances the spirits of all! Even Rick Jackson, who takes pride in his disdain for road course racing, enjoyed the wondrous view while riding boat-side across the mighty Housatonic. "The Sycamore trees make my eyes bleed with joy" said Jackson, needing a decent finish to solidify himself into the Chase for a fourth-straight year. Markell Murphy, Bink Lucas, Zakk Miller and John Tharp are on the outside looking in.

Race Recap

John Battista earns his first pole of 2025! His newfound Big Bud Shootout birth pales in comparison to a 2025 Championship run, currently 207-points behind Matt Raboin for tenth with only two races left in the regular season. The #39 Lucas Racing Wendy's Chevrolet will have to lead all the laps to have a chance. He would only lead the first. John Tharp enters Lime Rock a modest 80 points behind Raboin, passing Battista in the chicane on lap-2 to take the advantage.

The John and John show up front was interrupted by the Coca-Cola #20, stealing the top-spot on lap-6 in their quest to catch Ryan Heuser and Tony Pizzaro for the regular season title! Zach Michael and John Tharp pulled away from the pack before a Geno Sphere crash on lap-10. Exiting the west bend, the Kingsford #444 was clipped by Dan Johnston battling for the 26th position. Geno slapped the new "Forrest Grove" barrier, ending his day in 45th while dropping outside the top-35 in points.

Johnny Reed Foley leads the field! An immaculate ride, currently suffering a thirteen race winless-streak, his longest since their winless campaign in 2023. Miracle-man Jeremy Hebel took the point on lap-16, pulling away from the field as Foley, Ryan Heuser and Ken Pettit swap the second position. Jonathan Skrabacz, Zach Michael, John Tharp, Dakota Wilkins, Dalton Lucas and Timothy McDonnell round out the top-10.

The adage that green cars are unlucky hold true! Tony Gunk, suffering his green "Slime Time" television panel, spins out Alex Crapser exiting the final turn. The #04 Pennzoil Chevrolet devastates the inside barrier, catapulting into green car Logan Sheets, who wheel-hops over the asphalt and into the outside guard-rail. The green tobacco car of Ken Joynt slams the #58 Quaker State Dodge mid-air, sending Sheets sliding across the asphalt before all three slide to a stop. Each driver was surpisingly unhurt, with Crapser suffering his second finish 44th or worse in just three weeks. Despite being a shoe-in for the Chase entering the Brickyard 400, he'll exit Lime Rock just 55 points ahead of Bink Lucas with only one race to go.

Ryan Heuser takes the lead on lap-26! He, Johnny Reed Foley, Jeremy Hebel and Timothy McDonnell pull ahead through lap-50, swapping the top-spot several times before having to re-fuel. McDonnell stretched it out to lap-64, handing the top-spot to John Battista who pitted earlier in the event. He, Scott Jackson, Matthew Dominique, Tony Pizzaro, Adam Crapser and Dan Johnston were still on the track through lap-70.

Zakk Miller and Timothy McDonnell tangle in Big Bend! Both cars smacked the inside guard-rail, sliding across the track into the path of Zach Michael. The Coca-Cola #20 hit the quarter-panel of his teammate, rendering all three uncompetitive for the rest of the event. They would finish 28th, 29th and 34th respectively. It would practically end Miller's bid for a 2025 Chase birth, keep McDonnell from clinching the Chase early, and officially end Zach Michael's run for the regular season Chamionship.

Ryan Heuser dominated the field from laps 70 through 91. ... Read more »
