Zakk Miller talked about winning his seventh pole during his "This Week In Extravaganza" segment, filmed inside the Corning Museum of Glass ampitheatre. "I wish we had this many wins!" exclaimed Miller, discussing his 2025 campaign with host Randy Orb. "If we stay up front for more than a lap it'll be a small victory, but we'll need a good run for the points like a plague needs a an antibody!" His first wish would fall through the cracks, with Johnny Reed Foley beating him to turn one and leading the first lap.

A miraculous blow to John Battista! The gearbox broke while shifting out of neutral, ending his day before it started in shades of Johnny Reed Foley at Michigan. "This pretty much ends our Championship run" said crew chief Lew Money. Battista endured his league-leading eighth DNF of 2025, dropping 207-points back of tenth place Matt Raboin with only two races left. He would be joined by Rod Weston in the garage after a crash into the tire barrier exiting turn-1.

Chaucney Redmond Jr. endures the same fate as Weston, devastating the tire barrier and coming home 44th. Another turn-1 percussion between Craig Lee, Jonathan Skrabacz, Michael Henson and David Butterworth took them out of the running, dropping Lee only 117-points ahead of Markell Murphy for the chase cutoff. Dave Miller and Dalton Lucas would scuffle trying to avoid the carnage, limping to top-25 finishes despite the devastation.

Up front, Johnny Reed Foley and Matthew Dominique attempt to pull away from the field, with pole-sitter Miller using his Bepis #30 Mustang as an escutcheon to hold off Timothy McDonnell and the rest of the pack! Dominique would come in for fuel strategy during the lap-6 caution, with McDonnell and Tony Pizzaro passing Miller for second-place just three laps into the run. By lap-20, CFM teammates Foley and McDonnell were long gone.

Jonathan Skrabacz gets turned! Contact between he and Dalton Lucas sends the #48 Castrol Chevrolet into the inside wall while racing for 31st, catapulting into the path of Trae Larkin. The #00 Fanta Chevrolet would miraculously continue despite enormous front-end damage, with Skrabacz heading to the garage. On the restart, Tony Pizzaro gets the jump of the century, passing the entire CFM Motorsports brigade to steal the lead away on lap-30!

Pizzaro and John Tharp race side-by-side between laps 38 and 40, with Tharp finally taking the advantage as the field bunches up behind! By the halfway lap, it was Tharp, Pizzaro, Foley, Zach Michael, McDonnell, Matt Raboin, Ryan Heuser, Logan Sheets, Adam Crapser and Jeremy Hebel occupying the top-10. A dive-bomb entering the inner-loop puts the Fenway Frank #12 back up front, dropping Tharp to fifth after clipping the curb.
