Ken Pettit is back! A victory at Lime Rock puts Bob Marley back on the map, capping off a fuel-mileage strategy from the Gods. Sadly, the #8 Race-2-Win Chevrolet is the only 2024 title contender not in position for a repeat. Craig Lee, Timothy McDonnell, Adam Crapser, Matt Raboin, Alex Crapser, Bink Lucas, John Tharp, Zakk Miller and Markell Murphy battle the odds at Richmond in hopes of 2025 Championship glory!

Race Recap

Johnny Reed Foley earns his third pole of 2025! He and John Battista take the green side-by-side, remaining that way for the initial three circuits. The #39 Wendy's Chevrolet led the first two laps. Foley led the third, crossing the yellow flag after a Ziggy Moonglow spin on the backstretch. Battista and most of the field came in for tires, dropping to 15th. Foley, Matt Raboin, Ryan Heuser, Zakk Miller and Logan Sheets occupied the top-5 spots as the field roars to the one-tenth mark of the event.

Second-place Matt Raboin blows! Enormous devastation in the Valvoline pits, entering the Funai 400 just 81 points ahead of Bink Lucas for the final Chase spot! With Alex Crapser, Bink Lucas, John Tharp, Zakk Miller and Markell Murphy all inside the top-20, Quantum Racing's bid for the Championship crown may fall mute for a second-straight year. Up front, Johnny Reed Foley remains up front through lap-80.

Alex Crapser goes from "On the bubble" to "On the charge"! Crapser enters the race just 55-points ahead of Bink Lucas, occupying the final transfer spot despite a 250-point cushion after Pocono in July. Since then, the #04 Pennzoil Chevrolet finished 34th, 45th, 28th and 44th, going from "shoe-in" to "shoe-out"! Fortunately, their 76-lap dash from 19th to 1st puts them atop the heap, passing Johnny Reed Foley on lap-85 for the top-spot.

Dave Miller, Dalton Lucas, John Tharp, Jimmie Stevens and Ziggy Moonglow suffer crash damage between laps 140 through 160, erasing the immaculate top-5 gap. Crapser, Foley, Ryan Heuser, Logan Sheets and Zakk Miller pulled away from the field, with only 16-cars on the lead lap by the lap-147 restart. Crapser maintained the point, eventually coming in for tires after a Steve Inkman wall-ride in turn-4.

Three-wide through the middle! Jeremy Hebel makes a bold move out of turn-2, stealing the lead from Johnny Reed Foley and maintaining his advantage. A wondrous drive, occupying the Halfway-Bacon-Bonus before a hard-charge from Alex Crapser steals his thunder. Crapser meandered through the field for a second time, occupying the top-spot from Hebel on lap-208 while pulling to a five-second advantage before green flag stops.

A miracle run by John Battista! Fuel ended his victory-bid at Lime Rock. At Richmond, he'd be the last one on the track when the caution flew out. He, teammate Crapser, Ryan Heuser, Jeremy Hebel, Logan Sheets and Molemar Diggs were able to un-lap themselves before teammates Ziggy Moonglow and Trae Larkin scattered on the backstretch. It was the third spin for Moonglow, humbling his earlier 2025 success.

The #1 Milwaukee Brewers Chevrolet led the field to green! With Moonglow, Chauncey Redmond, Molemar Diggs and Tony Gunk earning their first victories in 2025, both Hebel and Logan Sheets were more than due for their share of winner circle glory. Up ahead, Matthew Dominique and Adam Crapser were able to un-lap themselves and pull away from the leaders, with the #4 Packers Chevrolet in-line to clinch their first career Chase birth!

2024 Rookie of the Year contenders Jeremy Hebel and Molemar Diggs duke it out for the top-spot with 80-to-go! Diggs took the lead, only for John Battista to steal it away in immaculate Wendy's Baconator style! A Ben Geer spin brings out the final caution flag with 60-to-go, with Diggs beating Battista out of the pits. He could only hold off the field for so long. With 45 laps remaining, Ryan Heuser flew from fifth to first, scouring past the Pittsburgh Steelers #41 with ease. Heuser would pull away from the rest, gapping eventual second-place runner John Battista by 4.3-seconds for his league leading fifth victory of 2025!

Ryan Heuser is the 2025 Extravaganza Series Regular Season Champion! Five victories, eleven top-5's and thirteen top-10's is nothing short of expected for Mustard Mahoney and crew, hoping to continue their hot-stretch with their fifth Extravaganza Series crown! Congratulations to Heuser, crew chief Mustard Mahoney and the entire Quick-Silver Motorsports organization for an excellent victory! Also congrats to Heuser, Tony Pizzaro, Zach Michael, Johnny Reed Foley, Rick Jackon, Craig Lee, Adam Crapser, Alex Crapser, Timothy McDonnell and Matt Raboin for clinching the 2025 Chase for the Championship!
